Thanksgiving Casserole

A cozy Thanksgiving-style casserole made with mashed potatoes, shredded rotisserie chicken, Heinz chicken gravy, cornbread stuffing, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, mozzarella cheese, and French fried onions.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 family-size container mashed potatoes
  • 1 rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 1 12 oz jar Heinz Chicken Gravy
  • 1 package cornbread stuffing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 12 oz bag frozen green beans
  • 1 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 8 oz bag shredded mozzarella cheese
  • French fried onions, for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly across the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. Top the mashed potatoes with the shredded rotisserie chicken.
  4. Pour the chicken gravy evenly over the shredded chicken.
  5. In a bowl, combine the cornbread stuffing mix with the chicken broth and stir until the stuffing is hydrated.
  6. Spread the hydrated stuffing evenly over the gravy layer.
  7. Add the frozen green beans in an even layer over the stuffing.
  8. Spoon the cream of mushroom soup over the green beans and spread it out evenly.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes, until the casserole is hot and bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven, top with French fried onions, and serve warm.
